Hi all . I always like to create a blog following up the creation of a new painting, to share inspiration of my art. This latest in a series of gold fish and koi carp paintings, was a fun one to do. It was quite an evolutionary process which started with the rocks at the bottom of the pond. I added light at the top which then touch the rocks. The fish took many hours of trial and error and modification, created totally from my memories of looking at several different koi fish and ultimately designing my own. One of the fun parts of painting is playing with shadow and color and shape until it suddenly comes alive(at least on canvas). I really hope you like this one as it is one of my favorite new paintings. I would love for you to spread the word of the work as I know several of you out there are Koi fish lovers and you never know who is looking for a new painting to adorn a wall, especially an interior designer trying to add the finishing touches on a project. Remember , I do commission work as well. Until next time.. Enjoy!!!
