Hi all. I just returned from a great experience down in Laguna Beach Ca. I have been a member of the Laguna Art Group for several years now, visiting the town's galleries and enjoying all that Laguna Beach has to offer including the many art shows there such as the Festival of the Arts and the Pageant of the Masters. Recently I submitted a couple of my paintings to see if I could get elected to participate in the Laguna Art Walk, which happens every first Thursday of each month. I got the happy news that I could bring down 3 paintings, an easel, a light and an extension cord for the June 6th art walk event. The Art Walk has hundreds of super interesting folks including movie stars, art critics, agents, gallery owners and other locals of Laguna Beach. All galleries serve wine and food with live music. A nostalgic shuttle(looks like an open air cable car) bring folks in from a lot on Laguna Canyon Rd, down into town to enjoy the event. I was positioned with about 7 other artists, in a courtyard near the LGOCA, a local favorite gallery, where I was able to finally get some recognition in that area. I have been invited to participate in another show soon and hope to get into a local gallery because of that exposure. My paintings have evolved through the years to include many different styles from undersea, seascape, landscape, safari, koi and medusa jellyfish collections. I love creating new paintings and now am starting to finally have a recognizable look that folks are taking notice to. Watch for my latest trip tic and remember I can totally create a custom commissioned piece for commercial and residential spaces. Until next time... enjoy....
