Hello all. I noticed the other day while visiting our family beach house, a fisherman winding the day down with his pole in the sand, hoping for that last catch of the day. I mentioned this to my Dad , who at age 90, said he always wanted to fish off the beach after my mom and he purchased the place, but had never taken the time to do so. I was inspired by this to create this painting. The sunset maybe a bit vivid for the northern Cal. coast but with me being the artist and in control of the work, decided to make the piece a little more interesting with some brighter colors. One of my loves of painting is not being limited by recreating a photo or place perfectly, and being able to have the painted image be from my own mind. I hope you enjoy.. till next time..
