Hello all. Checking back in after a bit of a side track with my Dad in and out of hospital(doing better) , then myself catching what he had while cleaning his house before he was to come back home. This is the Tyson version of the Sea Nettle (Jelly fish) . I wanted to make this painting have an artsy edge with some bright colors against a black background. The canvas size is 24" x 30" high and I have this peace for sale. See my website at www.tysonart.net (second page). Sea nettles can grow upwards of 3' in diameter and with the total length of their stinging tentacles 12 to 15 feet . They are common along the California and Oregon coast. If you are stung by one, it will feel like a bee or wasp sting . These are totally different than the Portuguese Man of War in regards to potency. If you want a safer look at these unusual creatures, go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. My stay at Rivas Fish House on the Wharf in Santa Cruz was a advertising success with great exposure being able to show off 40 paintings for 8 weeks. Thanks again to my good friend Cindy for hooking me up with such a wonderful place to have my work shown off. Well I hope you enjoy checking out this painting. Next up... we shall see what my canvas and brushes have in mind.. John
