This is a new site for showcasing my original acrylic and oil paintings. I am a 3rd generation artist always loving the sea and the mountains and I love creating natural environments that the art enthusiast can retreat into. My paintings usually have lots of brilliant color and detail so the viewer always discovers something new each time they gaze into the piece. I love tropical reef environments which became a focused inspirational theme interestingly , when my mother's ashes were spread at sea. Sometimes I feel her energy helping me create the pieces as my brush starts to touch the canvas. I have always had tropical saltwater aquariums at home and love snorkeling in Hawaii. Colorful fish with sponges, corals and other forms of life seen from the tropics stay like a photo in my mind and the environments and the painting evolves on its own. I have a fondness for the mountains as well, backpacking, fishing and living there in our mountain home part time(for now). The breathtaking wilderness is something I love to capture in my art as well. From land to sea and sky, I hope my art will inspire others to protect our environment for many generations to come and add a wonderful new design element into the home and workplace .
